The Concept
Six Tracks. One Night.
Choko Season is Choko King’s debut EP — six tracks that play as a single night.
It opens with the sun going down on London Outside and moves through restraint, attraction, one drink too many, and the point where the night takes over. By Kolo the head is gone. Inevitable closes it where it was always heading.
The sound sits between two cities: Afrobeats bounce and Nigerian pidgin from Lagos, dancehall riddim and patois from London. Not a journey from one to the other — the two places that make the music what it is.
